How do I catch a cable car?
There are two cable car stops in Fisherman's Wharf. The turntable for the Powell-Mason line is located at the intersection of Taylor and Bay. From Pier 41, walk two blocks down Jefferson St to Taylor St, where crab sign is located. Turn left onto Taylor St and the cable cars are another 3 blocks from there. There turntable for the Powell-Hyde line is located at the corner of Beach St and Hyde St. To get there, walk five blocks down Jefferson St to Hyde St, then 1/2 block up the hill along Hyde St to the cable car station. Pedicab drivers will be to take you to either of these stations.
Where is Ghiradelli Square?
Ghiradelli Square is at the other end of the wharf from Pier 39. To get there, walk along Jefferson St past Hyde St until you reach the beach in Aquatic Park. From there, walk one block up the hill through the park to the corner of Beach St and Larkin St. The chocolate and ice cream sundaes are available in the Clock Tower building. Pedicabs can also take you to Ghiradelli Square.
Where is Lombard Street?
Go west along Jefferson St or Beach St 5 blocks to Hyde St. Turn left onto Hyde St and go to the top of Russian Hill. Turn left to walk or drive down the crookedest street. SF Pedicabs can take you to the intersection of Taylor and Lombard, which is at the bottom of the hill, 2 blocks from the crookedest street.
How do I get to Chinatown?
There are many ways to get to Chinatown. Walking. Walk one block along the Embarcadero to the edge of Pier 39. Cross the street at the light and go to the corner of Beach and Stockton. Chinatown begins 9 blocks from here, at the corner of Stockton and Columbus Avenue.
By Bus. You can get to Chinatown on the 30. Stockton bus. See the bus section below to find out where the stop is.
Cable car. Both the Powell-Hyde cable car and the Powell-Mason cable car will get you to the corner of Powell St and Jackson St. At this intersection, get off the cable car and walk down the hill along Jackson street 2 blocks to Grant St. You are now in the heart of Chinatown.

How do I get to Haight-Ashbury?
Driving: Take Stockton St all the way to Market St, 2 blocks past Union Square. Turn right onto Market St, drive down Market St past the Civic Center to Haight St. The corner of Haight and Ashbury is 16 blocks from here.
By Bus: Catch the F line to Steuart and Market, from here you can catch Muni bus #71 to get to Haight-Ashbury or Golden Gate Park.
How can I get to the Golden Gate Bridge?
Driving: Drive west along Jefferson St or Beach St until you reach Hyde St, where the Cable Car station is located. Turn left onto Hyde and drive to Lombard St, at the top of Russian Hill. Turn right onto Lombard st, away from the crookedest St. Drive about 1 1/2 miles to Richardson Ave, which goes diagonally to your right. Richardson Ave connects to Doyle Drive, which will take you onto the Bridge.
By Bus: Golden Gate Transit has the only buses that go directly to the Golden Gate Bridge. The nearest Golden Gate Transit stop to Pier 41 is on the corner of Stockton St and North Point St, next to the Academy of Art University. To get there, walk 2 blocks along Powell St to North Point St, turn left and walk 2 more blocks to Stockton St. Note: Golden Gate Transit only permits travel to or from the Golden Gate Bridge within the city of San Francisco. The adult fare is $2.85 and they do require exact change.

From Pier 41, walk one block up Powell St, turn left on Beach St and walk one block to the corner of Beach and Stockton. If the trolley is too crowded, pedicabs are available at the front of Pier 39.
BART
The nearest BART station to Fisherman's Wharf is the Embarcadero station, in front of the Hyatt Regency. To get there from Pier 41, walk along the Embarcadero 1.8 miles to Market St, which ends in front of the Ferry Building. From there, walk one block along Market St to the intersection of Market and California St. The BART station is on this corner. You can also take the Muni F-line to the Embarcadero BART station.
Buses
You can catch the #47 bus at the intersection of Beach St and Powell St, one block from Pier 41. You can catch the #15 bus one block further away at the corner of North Point St and Powell St. The nearest stop for the #30 bus to Pier 41 is located at the corner of Columbus Ave and North Point St. To get there, walk 2 blocks along Powell St to North Point St, turn right and walk 4 more blocks to Columbus Ave.
Taxis
Pedicabs can go as far as Union Square and AT&T Park. However, if you are going further that this (or any big hills are involved) the nearest taxi stand is located in front of Pier 39, one block from Pier 41 along the Embarcadero.
ATMs
The nearest ATM is located behind Blazing Saddles, on the side of the Pier 41 building facing Pier 39.
Banks
There is a Wells-Fargo branch inside the Safeway in the Northpoint Center. The entrance to the Northpoint center is 2 1/2 blocks up Powell St from the corner of Jefferson and Powell. The nearest Bank of America branch is located at the corner of Columbus Ave and Stockton St in Chinatown, about 3/4 mile from Fisherman's Wharf. To get there, walk up Powell St to Columbus Ave, turn left onto Columbus and walk one block past Washington Square to Stockton St.
Post Office
The nearest post office is on Stockton St, between Filbert St and Union St, next to Washington Square. To get there, walk one block along Powell St to Beach St, take a left and walk one block to Stockton St, and then take a right and walk 7 1/2 blocks up Stockton St. Postal services are also available at the copy shop in the Northpoint Center. The entrance to the Northpoint Center is 2 1/2 blocks up Powell St from the corner of Jefferson and Powell.
