Monterey Bay Aquarium Installs Life Sized Blue Whale In San Francisco

Our partners at the Monterey Bay Aquarium have installed a life sized blue whale made entirely of discarded single use plastic at Crissy Field in San Francisco. It uses the image of the endangered whale to call attention to the effects of discarded plastic on our oceans and to call upon all of us to reduce the amount of single use plastic in our personal lives, businesses, and in turn, our oceans. The installation is part of the Parks Conservancy’s Art In the Parks initiative.

It will be on display until January 13th, 2019

Our pedicabs got dressed up over the summer to promote the aquarium in anticipation of the whale installation. Catch a ride with us up to Crissy Field to see the whale and if you’re lucky you’ll get to ride with Frank the Pedicab Pug!
